Orchestra of Plants

Now I will admit that when I first started watching this movie I thought it was a little silly, I mean c’mon, a whole movie made for soil? It sounds a little ridiculous; but as i watched more and more i became more intrigued.Hands Holding a Seedling and Soil I know making yourself sit down for an hour or two to watch a documentary about dirt doesn’t seem that great, but trust me you won’t regret it, and actually you will learn that soil isn’t dirt, and that if you ever see a kids playing in it, let them be. In fact soil is one of the cleanest substances on this planet. One of the most interesting facts in this film that caught me by surprise was when they were talking about Adam and Eve. Now believe the story or not, thats not the point. The point is that Adam and Eve literally mean dirt, actually correction…soil. “Soil is life” they said, and ok maybe that is taking it a little too far but the point is that soil is a big part of our lives, and we all appreciate the flowers and trees, but without soil those plants wouldn’t be there. So next time your wandering through the forest stop and smell the soil.

  1. Carly – your title is quite lovely, but does not connect well with the content of your blog. Your blog does not contain very much on what you learned, other than that Adam and Eve mean ” soil is life”, You need to give reasons for why your opinion changed from ” this is ridiculous” to this is interesting and you should watch it. The image you chose fits very well with the topic. Make sure that the URL is underneath the image so that the reader knows that they are connected. You needed 2 paragraphs; one detailing what you learned and one on critique. You have essentially only one paragraph with almost no detail on what you learned, Please read the assignment criteria more carefully.
